Easter Egg Run 2007
Press
Release
Issued
by Bury St Edmunds & District Motorcycle Action Group:
Sunday
the 1st of April 2007: Risbygate Street resonated to the
sound of motorcycles gathering for the annual Easter egg run, an event
organised by the charity arm of Bury St Edmunds and District Motorcycle
Action Group a.k.a. the BSE MAD COWS. The ride out took the bikers to
Little Saxham, Depden, Chedburgh and back into Bury via the Angel Hill.
To the
delight of local onlookers, over 100 motorcycles and 3 trikes made their
way through the town to the Scope centre on Shakers Lane. Warmly greeted
by the staff and children the bikers then tucked into a fine buffet
supplied by the unit. They were also able to see the new wide screen TV
which Scope purchased with funds raised at the 2006 BSE MAD COWS
Halloween party.
Around
200 Easter eggs were donated, which will be split between Scope and the
local family support unit, and £230.32 in cash from a whip round before
the run departed.
BSE
Mad Cows would like to thank all who turned up and donated eggs, all the
local bike shops that support us and Scope for the fine reception.
